Do you have a digital marketing interview coming up? Fine. Let’s make sure you go in prepared.
Most interviewers don’t expect you to know everything. They want to see three things: you know the basics, you can explain them clearly, and you think like a marketer.
Here are 35 questions that do arise, with brief practical answers. Don’t memorize them verbatim. Use them to come up with your own answers, your own examples.
How to Prepare (Fast)
- Take a look at the company’s web presence. Website, Instagram, LinkedIn, even their Google ads. If you mention something specific you saw it leaves a strong impression.
- Leave one real example. Your blog, a college project or a friend’s business page. Small numbers help level.
- Know the important tools. GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Semrush or Ahrefs, Canva.
- Be real. A perfectly good answer is “I haven’t done that yet, but here’s how I’d approach it”.

Check landing page speed and mobile experience Match the page to the ad promise Simplify the form Add reviews Review search terms for irrelevant clicks Confirm conversion tracking works
